The New Honeycombs
The Honeycombs burst onto the pop scene with the worldwide hit number one “ Have I the right” in 1964 followed by another Howard and Blakely composition “That’s the way” followed by other hits “Is it because” and the Ray Davies penned “Something better beginning”.
The New Honeycombs have toured with one of the founder members and now are on tour in their own right recreating the sounds of the Sixties and reflecting The Honeycombs hits.
The current line up is:
Angela Rose (lead vocals) carrying on the tradition started by Honey Lantree of an attractive female in the band.
John Butcher (lead guitar/lead vocals) formerly with Mersey Band The Fourmost. John brings musical excellence, a Liverpool accent and a touch of humour to an event.
Paul Bonner (drums/lead vocals) formerly with singles/album band Katch 22, the Easybeats(Friday on my mind) and sixties legend Wayne Fontana.
Jeff Malin (bass guitar/vocals) has played as a session musician on many hits and has also backed stars such as Dusty Springfield and Lulu.
